Does "broad-based community support" really exist for Lā‛au Point?

Summary:    Total signage against Lā‛au:                 139 (137 signs, 2 bumper stickers) ---- 92.053%

                   Total signage for Lā‛au:                         12 (12 signs, 0 bumper stickers) -------- 7.947%

We visited Moloka‛i from February 17-20, 2007. Since we were driving down nearly every road we could anyway and had a handy digital camera, we decided to photograph every sign we passed along the way that was either in support of, or against, The Plan for Lā‛au development. It is interesting that 5 of the 12 signs that expressed support for The Plan were found on Moloka‛i Ranch property. In addition, 1 of those 12 signs was ambigious ("Save Jobs") and we decided to give The Plan supporters the benefit of the doubt while "Save Laau" was spray-painted over another of the 12 signs.
